Self Care Hacks For Empaths: TURTLE TIME

Need to escape immediately? Try this:


1. Smile and sit quietly for 10 seconds.

2. Keep smiling.

3. Close your eyes and think of a turtle.

4. Keep smiling.

5. See your Turtle and make sure that your Turtle sees you.

6. Smile at your Turtle.

7. Keep smiling at your Turtle until your Turtle smiles back.

8. Catch up with your Turtle for 1 minute.

9. Say "thank you" & "see you next time" to your Turtle.

10. Open your eyes.


This usually works really well after a couple of tries....but you have to be willing to get a bit silly. For instance: This is Wolfie, my Turtle. He is 106 and he's a bit of a flirt. He's usually good for a quick laugh or an escape to his location. I've selected a few other turtles for your reference and use.
